Canada News Releases
This Sunday, May 6th, Canadians from sea to sea to sea will commemorate the thousands of men and women who fought during the Battle of the Atlantic.
From 1939 to 1945, the members of the Royal Canadian Navy, Royal Canadian Air Force, and the Merchant Navy served valiantly to fight for the freedom and security of all Canadians.
From both sides of the Atlantic, Canada’s Combat Ship Team is proud to come together to pay tribute to everyone who fought during the longest campaign of the Second World War and we remember those who were lost at sea. We are honoured to support the Naval Association of Canada who strives to keep their memory alive.
We also take the time to recognize the current generation of sailors and officers of the Royal Canadian Navy who continue to uphold our freedom, whether it is off our coasts or in distant regions of the globe.
